Extremely disappointed, but not surprised My 10 year old daughter was very excited to start this new school… up until her first day, in which she came home in tears, because of the blatant and obvious exclusion/discrimination she experienced based on her skin color. Firstly she was told by an employee that she needs to do something about her hair, when she had it in ponytail just like all the other girls and was confused and felt left out as they ended up starting the lesson without her and she ended up missing atleast 20 minutes as she had to wait on the sidelines until this same employee finally says “you know what forget it” and invites her back to the group. And not only this, but she was harassed by other students with racial slurs and told not to get in the pool with them because of her race, and not only did staff not intervene, but according to my daughter, they seemed to almost inadvertently condone this. I am appalled by the behavior of the managers and staff at this establishment due to, firstly the lack of attention on and discipline toward their students OR staff, but most of all I am very dissapointed, yet not surprised, as it was made obvious from our first visit, up until her first lesson… that this is a strictly, predominantly white establishment, and they would like to keep it that way.

My daughter was taught by the wonderful swim coaches at this school and now is a great swimmer at age 12 years. My son who is now 7 years old is currently doing lessons and is in the green cap level. Very friendly, thorough and committed coaches.

British Swim School has been there patiently waiting for littles ones to achieve their full potential in swimming. Their program is affordable and convenient for any family out there!

Coach Carl is the truth. He’s an amazing instructor and has given my kids so much confidence in the water.

I started British Swim School in July 2021, and it is now January of 2022. When I started, I couldn't even float and have never experienced putting my head underwater and blowing bubbles. Within 8 weeks of 30-minute lessons, once per week, I was able to start swimming. However, I stayed in the program to get better and learn more. Every time I go, I learn something new. It is one of the best investments I have ever made on myself. Not only do I have a new recreational activity to enjoy and a new cross training exercise to add to my week, but it is also a survival skill. I can swim freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke. If you are scared and have been thinking about learning, start with this school. Give it a couple months to try it, and you'll be thankful you did.
